Vintage Japanese Boro Layered Fabric Round 12" — Indigo Check Textile
● Acquired
Details
Mid-century Japanese nabeshiki (pot trivet) crafted from stacked layers of vintage domestic cotton textiles.
Measuring a full 12 inches across, a tight machine-sewn spiral binds the underlying scrap fabric layers into a firm disc, finished with an unhemmed, raw edge. A compelling piece of everyday Japanese folk craft (mingei) that functions naturally as a tabletop element or graphic wall piece.
